Localizing WeSay

The text for the WeSay user interface (not the config tool at this time) can be localized using http://transifex.net.

  1. Sign up for a transfix account.
  2. Email us on the WeSay user group letting us know what language you would like to contribute to, and your transifex user name.
  3. We will assign you to the language team to contribute.
  4. Once you are assigned to a language team, follow the instructions below to begin translating words/phrases.

Alternatively, if your internet access is limited, you might like to download the .po file and use poEdit to edit the text. You can download poEdit from the poEdit download page

Known Limitations

Currently the strings associated with libraries that WeSay uses, such as Chorus and the Palaso library are not available for translation. We know this is undesirable and will fix it in a future relesase.
